Scripture Reading :Luke 1: 57-65 and Luke 1: 67-80

“Praise the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has visited and redeemed his people.
He has sent us a mighty Savior
from the royal line of his servant David, just as he promised
through his holy prophets long ago.”

With his voice Zechariah spoke this beautiful prophecy, after being mute for over nine months because of his unbelief. Then He listened, believed and obeyed; he shared his belief with others (see Luke 1:61-65) and instantly began praising the Lord. Listen, believe and obey; each one of these verbs bring about varying stages of difficulty for different people at different times. On occasions we may hear God’s voice, that little whisper. Difficulty for me is not believing God’s voice. But obeying God’s voice, that’s a whole other beast. Obeying means stepping out in faith and breaking away from the norm. What is God asking you to do during this season? Reach out to a neighbor or family member? Stand up for those that are burdened? Are you willing to obey his voice?

Sharing a song today for your listening pleasure; beautiful message. Maybe these words will speak to you, give you a little nudge to obey God’s voice, to give a “little Christmas away”. “Maybe it’s a simple act of kindness I can show
A spark that helps to warm the heart like long hugs whеn it snows
Maybe it’s just givin’ with a heart of grateful lovе
Knowin’ even sometimes that a little means so much”

So I’m givin’ hope, I’m givin’ peace

Wanna share the joy the holidays can bring
I’m givin’ love, I’ll start today
Every chance is a chance I’ll take
I’m givin’ Christmas away”
