Scripture Reading : Luke 2: 8- 14

“Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

The Armies of Heaven

Often I think about the armies of heaven, what is it like? Is it like the training scenes in the Percy Jackson movie? Individuals shooting arrows, competing with each other for the right to descend to heaven to sing in the “vast host of others” choir. Who are the members of the armies of heavens? Angels only or do we get a chance to audition? In this story, again we make acquaintance with the angels of heaven. There is no denying their existence and this time the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded the area. The best part of this story is their message: “The Savior- yes, the Messiah, the Lord – has been born today. ”

Today a young artist continues the trend of creating music to celebrate our savior’s birth, she joins the earthly “vast host of others” choir. Her lyrics shout out, “Rejoice for our savior and King. His fate was beyond the cross, eternal life He died to give us. That is why on Christmas day we remember why the savior came. Glory, glory, in the highest” Thank you Grace Graber, the angels continue even today.
