Recently I was reading a study about fibromyalgia improvements after eating a raw vegetarian diet.  The article was published years ago in the BMC Complementary and Alternative Medicine journal.  As I reviewed the study I found that the participants ate exclusively the Hallelujah diet.  The study was also funded by the Hallelujah Acres Foundation.  So being curious, I have explored further.  I actually ordered the book today.  Expect to see more about this topic in the future.  And guess what, part of the diet is Juicing.

So far my research has turned up that the diet was started by a baptist pastor in upstate New York  that changed his eating habits after having cancer.  He eliminated meat, dairy, caffeine, sugar, and processed foods.  Afrer a year of living a new lifestyle, the pastor’s cancer disappeared.  His body was restored.  He decided to tell the world about this change, starting with the Christian community.

The Hallelujah Diet is based on the physical nourishment as intended from our Provider in Genesis 1:29.  “And God said Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed:  to you it shall be for food”.

From their website, here’s one of their juice recipes.

Better Than V-8 Juice

Carrots ( approx. 1/2 lb or enough to make 4 oz of juice)

Handful of cherry tomatoes

1 small beet

2 celery ribs

1/2 medium cucumber peeled

10 baby spinach leaves

2 lettuce leaves

2 stems of parsley

1/8 inch thick slice of ginger.

Enjoy.  More about this diet after I get the book.
