Exciting Update for Health Optimization Cruise 2027

Dr. Greger Is Joining Us on the 2027 Health Optimization Cruise

We are excited to announce an addition to our speaker lineup. Dr. Michael Greger will be joining us for the 2027 Health Optimization Cruise, along with Lissa and Nate Maris of Raw Food Romance, author and psychologist Dr. Angela Crawford Phd, author Janet Pearson, and myself.

This is one of my favorite events of the year, and I say that every year. If you are looking for a place to begin, this is it. Seven days at sea can be the jumpstart to a whole year of healing.

What the week actually looks like

Every day on the cruise we eat plant based breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared by chefs. You can choose either raw or cooked. Every dish is made with no sugar, no oil, and no salt. We call it SOS free. And I promise you, the meals are delicious.

I leave every year feeling like a new person, and always lighter than I arrived, in more ways than one.

We follow the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine

1. Nutrition. We eat only plants for seven days, completely SOS free. No decisions to make, no labels to read, no negotiating with yourself at the buffet. Just good food, three times a day, prepared for you.

2. Physical Activity. We meet every morning for a walk around the track on the top floor. You can walk with the group or walk on your own. This year we have a yoga instructor joining us who will lead us each morning on non port days.

3. Restorative Sleep. I honestly sleep better on the boat than at any other time of the year. The room is completely dark, and the rocking of the ship lulls you to sleep each night. The beds on the Celebrity line are to die for.

4. Stress Management. I do not look at my phone during the week. I choose to do what I want to do. I take naps. I go on excursions. I lie in the sun. I dance the night away. You choose your own week, and I cannot think of a better way to leave the stress landside.

5. Positive Social Connections. We eat together, we take classes together, and we do excursions together if you want to. I have made lifelong friends on these cruises and I still stay in touch with them weekly. The wonderful thing about the HOC is that nearly everyone on board is likeminded about health, which makes connection easy.

6. Avoidance of Risky Substances. Our dinners are served with herbal tea, green tea, coffee, or water. On your own time you do you, but as a group we skip the alcohol. And there is no judgment here if you find your way to the fabulous secret speakeasy on board.
